Detecting Oil
When Ocean Trackers look for oil in the ocean/sea, they use technology that measure colored dissolved organic matter. They use instruments called CDOM Fluorometer. They also use sensors to measure suspended particles along with dissolved oxygens. CTDs are used to indicate the change in the water's chemistry. There are different types of technology used to indicate the oil pollution or general pollution.
